A highly successful use book store managed by the Friends of the Library is the BookCellar housed on the lower level. The Friends of the Library have been selling donated books for the benefit of the library for 30 years.
If you have not yet visited, you are cordially invited to stop by and shop. Choose from thousands of books available on such topics as art, business, classics, computers, cooking…..language, literature, medicine, music, parenting, pets, reference, religion, sports, world history as well as books for children, young adults, modern fiction and non-fiction.
Be sure to browse the on-going sale of books from a cart near the library’s Circulation Desk. Check the cart whenever you’re in the library. We continually add new stock, including books and DVDs suitable for folks of all ages.
Special sales happen often and gift certificates are available. At the annual Midsummer Festival, the BookCellar holds a special paperback sale on the grounds of the Lyme Art Association. A Holiday Book Sale featuring outstanding gift books is held every year in the Community Room at the Library on the first Saturday in December.
Every dollar earned at the Book Cellar goes directly to support the Library. We hope to see you soon!
