Mission Statement

The mission of the library is to serve as a center of information for the Old Lyme community and to foster the cultural enhancement and development of an informed and knowledgeable community of Old Lyme inhabitants. In pursuit of this mission the Library will:

Assemble, organize preserve and administer collections of books and other educational and recreational materials and resources.

Provide free and convenient access to these collections further enhanced by a trained professional and support staff.

Actively encourage the use of library resources, services and programs by all Old Lyme residents and property owners.
