Summer Books To Movies Series

Beat the heat this summer at the Old Lyme/Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library!

A free book discussion and film screening series showcasing the works of Harper Lee and Truman Capote will take place at the library on the second Wednesday in June, July and August. The programs will begin at 5:30 PM with a book discussion held on the Library’s lawn (weather permitting, the program will be held indoors if it rains).

Feel free to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy!

Following the book discussion a film will be shown in the air conditioned Community Room at 6:30 using the library’s high definition projector and surround sound system. Come for just the book discussion, just the film showing, or both.

The series kicks off with To Kill A Mockingbird on Wednesday, June 13. In Cold Blood (followed by a film about Truman Capote) will be featured on Wednesday, July 11. Breakfast At Tiffany’s will conclude the series on Wednesday, August 8.

Please call the Information Desk at (860) 434-1684 for more information or to register for this free program.

We look forward to seeing you!
