How to Get a Library Card

Residents of Old Lyme and individuals listed as property owners may obtain a free library card by coming into the library to complete a registration form at the Information Desk or file one online. If you choose to register online you are required to bring proof of residency when you come to pick up your card. Allow one week for processing.

Children are eligible for library cards when they are five years old or in kindergarten. Residents of other Connecticut towns should bring in their current hometown library card to register. We also offer temporary cards to those patrons who do not meet the above qualifications.
